It's said that an Arabic sailor named these islands archipelago 群島 of the moon.The moon in Arabic language,カマール,is the origin of a word of its national name,Comoro.The country lies northwest to the Madagascar island.😃

Comoro is an island country made up of four isles.It declared its independence from France as a republic in 1975,but except for マヨット island,there are plenty of Moslems in other three islands.☝

Contrary to it,only the マヨット island where there are a lot of Christian French stayed in French territory.Its political confusion remained then.It has changed its name into a new one.The new name has a word of Islam,so I'm not sure of the マヨット island.😚
