【The Cold War started】

〔NATO and Warsaw Treaty〕

The military force which is based on the Mutual Aid Treaty is the Warsaw Treaty Organization.

Tough it started as military organization which opposed the Western side, if the country which joined in the treaty tried to escape from influence under Soviet, the organization played a part of preventing it from escaping with the military force.

It changed into the organization which controlled the satellite countries with the military force by the Soviet army.

〔The Cold War was over and the organization changed〕

After the Cold War was over, the Warsaw Treaty Organization dissolved.

Three countries which joined in the Warsaw Treaty Organization like Poland, Hungary, and Czechoslovakia in the Eastern side participated in NATO.

Besides, Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania,Romania,Slovakia, and Slovenia in 2004. Contrary to it, the aim of NATO changed from the defense for Western countries to the security in the whole Europe.
