〔NATO and Warsaw Treaty〕

After that Greece and Turkey joined in 1952, Western Germany in 1952, Spain in 1982, and the number of the country which joined in NATO became 16.

Even if only one of countries which joined in NATO is attacked with the military force, the organization regards it as attack to the whole countries which participate in NATO, and counterattack in cooperation. It's the aim of NATO.

The way of thinking of exercising the right of collecting self-defense 集団的自衛権. America went into defense for the Western Europe so as to confine Soviet in the Cold War,and deployed American military base each place in the Western Europe,and maintained tremendous military strength there.

On the other hand,the Eastern side responded to the inauguration of NATO violently.

Representatives of 8 countries like Soviet,Albania, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Eastern Germany, Hungary, Poland, and Romania gathered in Warsaw of Poland concluded the Mutual Aid Treaty in 1955.
