When absorbing extra neutrons,a number of the neutrons is controlled.Therefore,we use material of the control rod which has high probability of absorbing neutrons.It means that we adopt the one which has a large cross section 断面積 for absorption of the neutrons.😃

To be concrete,we use boron ホウ素,cadmium,hafnium,and indium as the material of the control rod.😃

It's cadmium,hafnium,or chemical compound of boron and carbon,carbonized boron that we often adopt.Speaking of the cadmium,it reminds us of itai-itai disease.The cadmium caused the sickness in Toyama prefecture before.💀

However,it's a important raw material which is used for the control rod,or solar battery in modern science.🙆
