【What should we do so as to reduce the neutron's speed?】

《A collision with hydrogen》

They're helium,hydrogen,lithium,beryllium,boron,and carbon.Both lithium and boron have function of absorbing the neutron,so they aren't suitable for material of reducing the neutron's speed,and beryllium is too expensive.😃

As a result,hydrogen,helium,and carbon are the substance proposed for the one against which we try to make the neutron bump,but helium is gaseous body 気体,so its density is so low that it passes through the neutron without colliding.😱
　　　　　　　　　
Contrary to it, hydrogen is also the gaseous body,but when combining with oxygen,they changed into water.It's liquid.😺

In short,water of liquid,and solid body of carbon,it means black lead and carbide,are appropriate.🙆

By the way,I can understand why the substance except for the hydrogen and carbon are excluded,but I can't grasp clearly why the two gaseous body are adopted.😚
