【What should we do in order to reduce the neutron's speed?】

It's simple,or we have no choice so as to slow down the neutron.It's just that we make the neutron collide with the other substance.It's undoubtedly sure.🙋

However,it doesn't always mean that everything which we make the neutron collide with all right.For example,if we throw a piece of chalk at a blackboard,it'll flip back to us,maintaining its speed.The chalk never reduces its speed then.☝

In this way,even if we try to make a flying object collide with a heavier thing,its speed doesn't reduce.We only have to make a thing collide with other of same weight so as to decelerate its speed efficiently.💡

Then the flying one will stop,instead the collided thing springs out in an ideal situation.👍

When thinking like this,substance against which we make the neutron bump,the ones of which atomic numbers are smaller are suitable.😃
