A goddess of love and beauty, Aphrodite promised paris that he could win the most beautiful woman in the world.👸


Contrary to it,other two goddess,Hera,whose husband was Zeus,and another one who controled wisdom and art,Athene got mad about it.😠



It's said it was a remote cause of the Trojan war in the Greek myth,but why did they quarrel? I'm going to express the episode about it.😃



Then Zeus was worried about the population problem, for the human beings had increased so much before he recognized that it may have caused a food shortage.Then a good idea flashed across his mind.💡


He thought.『I'll make them cause a war.』He smiled.💀


Then there used to be a wedding ceremony.Zeus prevented a invitation card for a goddess of war,エリス from sending to her.As a result,she was displeased with it😣


She thought『They gave me the cold shoulderのけ者にした』She was the goddess of war,so she was good at planting the cause of strife.Then she ……😥

All of the goddesses were forced to rouse,for each of them had confidence in her beauty.Each of them said.


『Speaking of the most beautiful goddess…it's me』

『What are you talking about? It's mine』
『You are kidding. I'll win it』


The three goddesses Hera whose husband was Zeus,the other one of wisdom and art, Athene,and another one of love and beauty, Aphrodite,especially argued.Then Zeus saw them quarrel with a sneer.👿


『We have to ask a fair outsider to judge』they said and went to Paris.😠



I'm sure every god and goddess in the Greek myth have human feeling.I find it interesting.😁

【What I've thought】


It has been raining today,so I've drunken or I've expressed this diary without going anywhere.I wish it could be fine.☔


Without making a great effort,I couldn't accomplish something useful,unless I'm a genius.Needless to say,I'm not.I'm just a fool😂


Oh! I suddenly feel like going for a drink.I wish to sing songs.It seems that a karaoke machine and some females call me,especially the women.👩


I'm sure they think.『Hey!Come here with a lot of money.』It's not myself but the money that they are waiting for.I feel an emptiness.😒


By the way,I've heard a phrase of being dead with loneliness recently.It means that lots of people lead solitary lives,I'm wondering.😚


In short,I will be dead with loneliness,even if there are lots people beside me then.It won't them but myself who is dead then,it doesn't matter at all.At first there are no one beside me.I can't help laughing at it.😏

【Schliemann and the Trojan war】


Being based on a book,『ギリシャ神話を知っていますか』written by 阿刀田高,I've been expressing the Greek myth in English.He said like next.😃


『Speaking of the Greek myth,we have to mention traditions of the Trojan war.Homer expressed them as if he had sung them,and a German boy was deeply impressed with his expressions in the 19th century』


He continued.『I'm sure everybody must have heard that his impression caused a historic discovery.His name was Schliemann.』🙋

He was born in a small country town of Germany at 1822.His father was a priest in the town.👨



The small country in Germany was surrounded with deep a forest.There used to be deserted houses here and there in the town,so Schliemann was forced to be greatly influneced with the scenes.👨


Without telling an imaginary story from a reality,he grew up in his childhood like other infants.👨

When being an age of 7,his father told him the Trojan legends.He must have tended to cheer for the team that's behind,for he sympathized with the Troy which was defeated.👨

His father said.『The legends were just fictions.They weren't true at all』His father spoke words of comfort,but he wouldn't listen to his father in the least😭


His father gave him a book at the next year.Its title was『History of the world for children.』When reading it,Schliemann found that a variety of scenes which his father told him about the Trojan war,including castle walls of Troy.🏰



He danced for joy and said to his father.『Look at this.You are in the wrong.A person who wrote this book must have seen the Troy.Otherwise he couldn't draw such the wonderful illustrations.』☝

His father said.『It's just an imaginary picture.The castle walls may have been long ago,but nothing remains.Nobody has seen them』😏



Schliemann said to his father.『If the castle walls were there then,they must have been buried in the ground.That immense castle couldn't have disappeared completely.』😤


The boy had thought his own idea and insisted that he was right.At last he said.『If I become a grown-up,I'll discover the　castle』😃


His father said,giving a bitter smile.『You'll do it』💦


Homer sang the Ilias story and Odysseus one.The one was epic poem 叙事詩 of the Trojan war which had continued for ten years,and the other was a drifting story in which Odysseus came home from the battlefield. Its period was also ten years.😃


Both of them had been familiar with the people in those days,but nobody had thought like next.☝


Being based on historical facts,the stories were expressed.😱

As for those two stories,everybody thought Homer who was an actual poet about the 9th century B.C.imagined and created,so they were just made-up stories.😏


However Schliemann had never thought like that.He thought he would discover the remains of the Troy in the future and wanted to testify desperately that the whole grand stories were truth.😤



The son of the priest wasn't always rich,if anything he led a poverty-stricken life.貧乏のどん底 He started out his career as a shop boy of a grocery store and was engaged in varied jobs.He went through many hardships.😥


When reading Schliemann's autobiography,we find he had special gift of language.While he was in poverty,he had never neglected to learn language study.He mastered lots of foreign languages such as English,French,Dutch,Spanish,Italian, Portuguese,Russian,Swedish,Polish,and Greek with almost self education.😲

If adopting those ways,we'll improve our abilities for language study,but is it so easy?😱


Schliemann must have had a talent which was different from an ordinary person,otherwise he couldn't declare that those ways were easy and carry them out.😥

His job went off as a merchant after his hardships.He made substantial assets fortunately.Then he was 41 years old.😃


He was at the height of his prime 働き盛り as a merchant,but he didn't inted to continue his business any more.😚


He said like next.『I thought my ideal which I had held from my childhood would come true with a magnificent scale.』😁



He continued.『While I've been busy as a merchant,I've always thought about the Troy,and I've never forgotten an arrangement with my father and my childhood friend ミンナ』👩



He continued. 『The arrangement was I would excavate the Troy some day.I used to be attached to money strongly,but I regarded the money as the way with which my heart's desire in my whole come true.』😤

He retired from his busindss completely,and left for Troy in order to dig.💨

At first, Schliemann became a merchant and saved funds in order to realize his dream which he had held since his childhood.💰


When he got the funds as planned,he gave up his business and put all his energy of his life into his ideal.Nobody couldn't do it with ease.😥


If being a person who had a strong faith like Schliemann,the way of acquiring language study which I expressed before would be a piece of cake.😲


By the way,when working hard as a merchant,he had read the two epic poem of Homer carefully over and over again.📖


He believed that the enormous poet which Homer had sung were truth,he memorize them in detail.😲


When going to Troy after saving the money,he thought the whole poems were truth,so he tried to seek for the heritage with confidence.😤


As to the confidence,he was different from other ones who excavated so much.☝

As for a part of which he was convinced so much,a place where the castle of the Troy used to be.He though it must have been a hill of ヒサリルク.☝


Contrary to it,the people in those days thought it must have been in the other place,a hill of ピナルパシ,if the castle of Troy really existed,according to a common idea then.😃



They thought the hill of ピナルパシ was 8km to the west from a coast which was near the Aegean Sea,and it was 10㎞ to the south from the Dardanelles.🌴



However Schliemann thought『The common idea is contradictory to expressions in the stories of Homer.』Then he must have remember some short phrases in the two works.☝


While the Greek army made a camp on the coast,the Trojan army was naturally on a hill.Some messengers have sometimes gone and forth between both camps.Their behaviors on the both camps.The soldiers in the both camp could see torches in the enemy lines.🔥


Judging from those facts, Schliemann thought…

Schliemann thought like next.『The hill of ピナルバシ which was 8km from the coast as the crow flies 直線距離,moreover the hill was 15km from the place where the camp of the Greek army used to be.In short,the hill was too distant.』😃


『Besides,the hill was too huge to be suitable for the next expression』he thought.☝


The expression was Achilles ran after ヘクトル and they revolved around the castle walls no less than three times.🏃💨


Therefore Schliemann thought like next.『 ヒサリルク which was by far closer to the coast than ピナルバシ and it was smaller than ピナルバシ.As a result,ヒサリルク was appropriate for Schliemann's expressions.』😃


ヒサリルク was less than 5km to the camp of the Greek army,and as to the rivers and views which were close to the hill,ヒサリルク seemed to be fit for the expressions.🙋


In consequence, Schliemann's judgement prnved right,but he accomplished a great feat like a treasure hunting with his only judgement.😲

You can recognize how much Schliemann believed in the story of Homer.You can gather his inclination for Homer.☝

He had blind faith in the stories so much that the god may have given his strong belief a blessing.🎊



The excavation didn't used to be the easy one from the first.Schliemann and his companies could dig nothing valuable from underground for a while.😣



However his faith that the castle of Troy must have been there made him continue to dig.As for the area,while it was cold and severe in the winter,it had been hot in the summer.😱



The climate prevented them from going on with their excavation.The period of the excavation used to be limited,and Turkish government said inflexible things so much that the Turkish also was also an obstacle for Schliemann.😚


Three years had passed since he and his companies started digging.They reached the remain which seemed to be the castle of Troy,and they began to approach the core of their excavation,and one day…

【What I've thought】


A factory in which I work adopts a five-day week,週休２日制 but I was forced to work yesterday.I can't help it.😚


I want to express everything in English,but considering my English ability,I'm afraid I can't,though I hate to say it.😠



While there are lots of things to express,I don't have enough time to do.It's just an excuse,though.😳


I'm sure expressing what I think in English resembles a marathon.I'm not a sprinter.I'm just a long-distance one,though too little stamina to finish a goal sometimes.😂

There are lots of in things which I'm interesteded in everyday life,they are too much to describe them.😥


Needless to say,I'm not industrious,but lazy.However I can't stop expressing in English.It's just that I love English, maybe.😳



My day off is going to come to an end.I hate to work.I wish I could win a large sum of money with a lottery ticket.😚

A grand romantic adventure like that rarely happens.By the way,as for a title of 『Schliemann and the Trojan war』,I made a mistake.There were little expressions about the war,so I don't have to add the word of 『Trojan war』 to the title.😳

【Andromeda and Perseus】


The ones who are deeply connected with the starlit sky in the Greek myth are Perseus and Andromeda.I'm going to tell you how they learned to love each other.🌠


There used to be a country of Argos which was on the east side of the Peloponnisos Peninsula.Argos was also on the north side of Sparta.😃



Argos' king was Akrisios,and his daughter was Danae who has been adopted as the subject of a painting like Leda of the swan.🙋


When Akrisios asked an oracle 神のお告げ his destiny,it gave him a terrible divine message.It said his daughter would have a baby.It would kill him in the future.💀


He took pity om her too much to kill her,so he thought he only had to make her not to give birth to a baby.He shut her in a tower made of bronze,and hold all the men back.👸


However,it was Zeus of a playboy who fell in love with her at first sight,so he…😍

Zeus changed into golden rain and poured into the tower made of bronze.Danae thought『How beautiful the rain is!What's happened?』😲


When being fascinated with the golden rain as if they had been golden threads and she opened the window,Zeus went into her room easily,and the golden drops of the rain poured into Danae's knees.He could realize his hope.😍



Then Perseus was born.Danae had hidden her baby in the inner part of the tower and tried not to show him her father for a while.👶


However the baby's crying was heard from the tower,so Akrisios found his daughter had the baby.😱


Danae and Perseus were shut in a wooden box and floated in the sea.When looking at a map,there is the island of セリポス which was on the west side of Argos luckily,they drifted to the island,and the people in the island saved them.Perseus grew up an excellent youth.👨


When looking at Drifted,ポリュデクテス,a king of the セリポス tried to win her and kept after her to be one of his wives,but she didn't accept it.😜

One day,there was a party in a palace of the king of ポリュデクテス,and young Perseus was also invited to it.🎊


All the guests went there with a small present such as a horse,but unfortunately,Perseus had nothing to present the king.😥



『All right.You are too young to have something valuable for the present』The others mocked him.😏


Perseus happened to say as an act of youthful inexperience 若気の至り.He said like next.『I'll bring you Gorgon's head』It was just a slip of the tongue.😤


Gorgon were three awful women who lived in the end of the sea,and their features were so ugly and bizarre that the one who looked at the women changed into stone instantly.😨


ポリュデクテス who loved Danae illicitly thought Perseus always stood in his way 目の上のこぶ.He thought like next.😒


『If Perseus disappears,I may succeed in winning Danae's heart』😍


Therefore he pounced on Perseus' words and said『You'll bring me g head of Gorgon as a present for me.Bring it here with you at once.』😚

They led their lives,lending the eye and teeth between them as if they had been the ones who possessed their pair of glasses and false teeth 入れ歯 in a home for the aged 老人ホーム,though it was very dirty😩


Perseus took away their eye from the women,and threatened them.He got information of Gorgon's home out of them.👵


The three Gorgons who lived in the end of the sea.As for their names,the one was ステンノ,the other was エウリュアレ,and another was Medusa.All of them were hideous.😨


Their hairs on their heads were snakes,andboar's tusks 牙 came out from each their mouse.They had golden wings on their backs,and…

【What I've thought】


The other day,it was my payday.As to its amount of money,it was more than I'd expected,so I went for a drink the last Friday and Saturday.🍻

I shouldn't have drunk so much,for I've never been in a good health today.I've had a stomachpain,but needless to say,it's my own fault,so I can't blame anybody for it😂



Today happens to be an April Fool,but I'm not telling a lie.I'm forced to lie down.I can't help it.It's just I'm really a fool.😳


I've never already young,so I should abstain from overeating and overdrinking.😫

By the way,why was Andromeda tied on the rock? There was the next happening which indicates its reason.😃


Andromeda's mother was a queen in Ethiopia.She was proud of her beauty so much that one day she said like next.👸


『There are lots of beautiful women in the world,but no one is more beautiful than me.In addition I'm sure even the daughters of Nereus who was one of god in the sea can't match me at all,even though they are no less than 50』😁


When hearing what the queen said,all of the 50 daughters were so enraged at her so much that they thought like next.『How conceited she was.We can't forgive her in the least』😠　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　
They asked their grandfather,Poseidon,to attack Ethiopia with a tidal wave,and let a monster destroy the country.A king of Ethiopia was surprised so much he asked for an oracle.😱


The oracle said『His daughter, Andromeda has to be offered to the monster as a human sacrifice 人見御供 』💀

The king was forced to tie her daughter to a shore reef 岩礁 against his will,but Perseus fell in love with her at first sight.He went to the king's palace and said to him😍


『I'll rescue your daughter.When succeeding in it,I want her to be my wife.Is it all right?』😤


After her father agreed to his proposal,he confronted the monster.He held out Medusa's head at the monster which tried to attack Andromeda.💀


Anyway whoever saw the head would become stone,so the monster couldn't avoid it.It is said that large lump of rock of which shape is the monster has been left on the beach in Ethiopia.☝


Perseus could save Andromeda,and she became his wife.Perseus came back to his hometown,the island of セリポス with his wife.His mother,Danae lived there then.😃


The king in the island,ポリュデクテス had still fancied her, and he thought『I'll make that woman mine at any rate』He sent his soldiers to her,and tried to kidnap her.Then Perseus …

Danae must have been so old that if there was the one who had had a longing for her,she should have given the king a favorable answer,the author,阿刀田高 is wondering.😚


However the woman who had been loved by Zeus was awfully stuck up ツンとする,so she thought『Oh no!I hate the king who was old and a boor 田舎者』She took refuge in an altar.😠



As to the custom in those days,no one could send troops in the altar,so ポリュデクテス made the soldier surround the altar in the distance,so Danae was forced to be confined in the altar.😱



However,then Perseus reached there and said to the soldiers.『Look at this!』It was also Medusa's head that he whipped out.😨


ポリュデクテス's soldiers changed into stones with their mouths open.After that,Perseus came back to Argos and returned the magical hat and shoes to Hermes.👟


Perseus presented Medusa's head to Athena.It is said that Athena used the head for accessory to her shield,but it didn't mean the story was over,and…💀

When hearing that Perseus returned to Argos,his grandfather,Akrisios was so frightened at the news that he ran away,deserting his kingdom.🏃💨


Do you remember? The king of Akrisios who was Danae's father received the oracle in which his grandson would kill him some day,so he had been afraid of the oracle for a long time.😨


However Perseus didn't think he wanted to murder his grandfather.He was away on a trip so as to look for his grandson.Then he happened to come across an athlete meet on the way,and he throw a disk.😃

【Translator】

A woman built a thread in this bulletin board of ミクル.She said like next.😃


『When being a student in high school,I used to be good at English.I have a child,and I've quit learning English since I graduated from university,but I wish to be a translator no matter what happens』😤


Almost all of people cheered for her.『You can』,but the ones who can speak English can't be always a translator and make a living,I'm sure😚

Speaking of a huge statue of the Buddha,we Japanese are apt to be reminded of the Great Buddha at Nara.It was built more than 1200 years ago,and it's the biggeest in Japan.😃


However as for its height,it's 17 meters,so comparing with other huge statue of the Buddha of バーミヤン,the one at Nara is just one third as tall as the other at バーミヤン.😚　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　Though while the Great Buddha at Nara is a statue of a seated figure,the other at バーミヤン is the statue of standing one,so roughly speaking,if the Great Buddha at Nara stood up,each height might be even.😃



However there is another Great Buddha of 弥勒 of which height is no less than 71 meters in China.To be exact,it's at Mt.Ryoun of Rakuichi in Sichuan 四川省.🇨�
