[The military force in Vietnam withdrew from Cambodia]

The military force in Vietnam supported the new political power in Cambodia, and the new political power had enough potential power to fight, so Vietnam withdrew. It was a main reason of its withdrawal, but there was other reason.

Soviet which supported Vietnam for a long time couldn't maintain to help on account of economic crisis.

Without receiving support from Soviet, Vietnam had to aim at being ecomonic development, so intervention in Cambodia was too much burden economically for Vietnam.
