There seem to be plenty of English phrases which they frequently use their everyday lives, but they have never been printed in English dictionary.😃

I'm going to express this thread, being based in a book,『日常会話なのに辞書にのっていない英語の本』The next remarks are quoted from a preface of the book. Its author said like the next.☝

Its her experience when she visited the U.S.A.for the first time. She was waiting for her friend in her rental car near an express exit in Los Angeles. She became aware that a policeman who had a good physique looked into her car.👮

He said to her.“Pull over there”but she couldn't grasp what he meant. She was so confused that she babbled out.She wanted to say that she was waiting for her friend, but she ended up saying“I just want a friend.”😳

He spat out“Move it, anyway!”behaved himself as if he had driven her away, with his mouth wide open.👮

However, she may have been lucky, for there were a lot of ill-natured policemen, they made citizens have bitter experiences, for example…😱

To be continued.🙋
