I hope I can contribute this thread to this bulletin board, for whenever I tried to establish an English thread, I failed to do it, though I don`t know why.

I`m wondering if I should leave this thread unfinished, for I have to reach the 386th phrase so as to finish, but I`ve already got to the 358th ones. I`ve been almost there.

Whenever I tried to build an English thread here, someone tried to pick a fight with me. I find it complicated, but it can`t be helped, for there are various people here.

Some of them have nothing to do, so they are forced to do such a thing. I find it pitiful.

I`ve tried to establish this thread twice, so I hope I can be successful in it this time. Should I use the Japanese as well? Though I did the Japanese last time, but I failed in it then.

Thank you for your kind message. I was born in Japan and I`m a Japanese.

親切なメッセージ有り難う。日本生まれの日本人です。

I`ve wanted to be a splendid English speaker, so I`ve tried to express everything in English as much as possible.

英語が喋れる様になりたいので、できる限り全ての事を英語で表現しようと、こころがけてます。

As to the Japanese letters of あいうえお,when tried to establish a thread by Englisha alone, I need to add the Japanese, I was told
here from the sponsor in this bulletin board, so I obeyed it.

日本語のあいうえおは、英語だけでスレを立てようとした時に、日本語も着けたす必要があると、この掲示板の主催者に言われたので

【Where can I wash up?】

The book says it means asking, where is the restroom?

There are some phrases asking a place of a lavatory, and we tend to find it hard to think.

Without using a phrase which make us imagine any place where there is a toilet, we can ask the place of the restroom where there is a washstand and a toilet.

Wihout being worried about which to use, we can adopt the phrase.

Conversation

A:We`re almost ready for lunch.

B:Great. Where can I wahs up?

【Where`s the beef?】

The book says it means that asking, where is the content?

The phrase is used for the one which is an ideal alone but there is no substance.

For example when someone speaks its remarks and vow, they seem to be wonderful, but when a concrete way of carrying it out isn`t clear, the phrase is used.

Its origin was a commercial of a chain store which sold a hamberger.
Three old females arrived at other hamberger shop which was a rival for the chain store.

The first female said it certainly is a big bun, and the second, it`s a very big fluffy bun, and the third asked...
